 OF THE THREE ELECTIONS

In the next ten days, three important elections will be held for the next decade: Brazil, Israel and the United States. The result of the Brazilian election will define not only its greater or lesser alliance with the US, in any situation the alliance will exist, but above all a greater or lesser sovereignty over its natural resources and also its relationship with its largest trading partner, China. In the dispute between China and the US are not only chips, but also rare earths, energy and markets. And Brazil is an important player in this game of the two great potentials.

The election in Israel, the only democratic country in the Middle East, on October 27, to elect the 120 members of the Knesset, the parliament, will define not only the fate of the longest-serving Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, 19 years old, but also what will be the Israeli policy towards the Palestinians and especially towards its 33 Arab neighbors. Bibi, as the Prime Minister is known, was openly supported by Trump, but carries to the election only accusations of corruption, but above all of the inexplicable attack by Hamas terrorists and the subsequent conflict in Gaza. His opponent is General Einsenkot, former Commander of the Israel Defense Forces. The predictions are that neither of them will have the majority and will need to compose themselves with smaller parties. And then come in the smaller parties, in total 38, ultra-orthodox Jews and conservatives compete, and the Arab parties, which as in the past, many of which have dictated a course in Israeli politics that the world condemns.

The midterm elections, in the USA, when all 435 deputies will be elected, the term there is two years and 35 of the 100 senators, 6-year term, in addition to 36 governors of the 50 states, and state assemblies and senates, in addition to city halls. The early vote has already begun and the battle between the Republicans, with Trump fighting to keep the majority in both houses, and the Democrats with a chance of recovering the majority seems a deadly fight. Billions of dollars invested in campaigns, mainly digital and TV, the biggest donor is Elon Musk, the richest man on the planet. The accusations fly like mosquitoes and the Republicans have to defend the high cost of living, especially of gasoline and diesel and food and the conflict with Iran. Many of them, even indicated by Trump, have tried to avoid these issues, but the voter who pays the bills knows the consequences of Trump's tariff policies and war.

Democrats have many chances to win the majority in both houses, which may hinder the impertinent management of the Republicans, but it will not diminish Trump's imperial momentum. And the Democrats begin to prepare their way to the White House. The polls may surprise, but anyway their results will change the destinies of millions of people.
